Floor Screeding with PP Fibre Screed at The Ark in Hammersmith, London

We provided floor screeding with PP fibres for the refurbishment of The Ark on Talgarth Road in Hammersmith, West London. The main contractor was Sir Robert McAlpine. It was designed by Ralph Erskine in 1992 and the concept is based on Noah's Ark. The idea was to make it a more flexible office space. There are nine concrete floors in this office building and it was really interesting to work in due to its shape. Inside it is surprisingly light and airy even though it looks dark from the outside.

Another of our contracts where we used fibre screed was Isleworth.

  • Location: Hammersmith

  • Quantity: 1200 meters squared. 9 floor levels of office space

  • Product: Floor levels: 100mm Kingspan insulation, 1200G polythene DPM, perimeter strip, silver cloth tape, 65mm traditional sand and cement screed incorporating PP fibre reinforcement.
